Concerns Regarding Customer Service and Support

Comments: On December 2, 2023 my office made the first payment to begin a contract with Turbo Rater, I initiated a service with TurboRater, expecting a seamless and supportive experience, especially considering the investment required for such a service. However, I was surprised and disappointed by the lack of proactive support and customer service on December 18 2023 I contacted turbo rater to find out what was going on with my account because not word was heard since the payment day on following the setup of my account.
On December 19, I received a notification indicating that my site was ready and live. However, there was no follow-up contact from your team to offer assistance, answer any questions, or provide the expected level of customer service. This has left me feeling somewhat neglected and dissatisfied with the treatment I've received.

Pros:

I initiated a service with TurboRater, expecting a seamless and supportive experience, especially considering the investment required for such a service. However, I was surprised and disappointed by the lack of proactive support and customer service following the setup of my account.

Cons:

Not able to share what I like however As a professional committed to providing the best service to my clients, I understand the importance of customer support, especially when it comes to complex services like insurance software. I was expecting a similar level of dedication and customer service from TurboRater.

ITC is the best I've used

Comments: I have used it for years and have used a couple others. I like ITC best because most companies use it. I wouldn't say it is the best rating system ever, but if I like one more that no companies use, than I'm no better off.

Pros:

I really like being able to quote multiple people at once and multiple companies at once. This is important and saves us a lot of time in office.

Cons:

It can stop working randomly at times. The look of it is VERY outdated and it needs a face lift. This makes it very unappealing to look at and quote with for several hours a day. I just don't know any other better products out there, but it LOOKS like it was made by an insurance agent and not a product designer. I think the admin options could be improved. If we have two customers quoted with the same name it should tell us and let us combine them easily instead of doing all the leg work ourselves. If someone calls for a quote and starts it with their name then turns around and wants to quote it in their sisters name to see what the price is, we have to start a whole new quote or erase all the info that we want to keep for the first driver. This is stupid. We're in 2020, there should be swap drivers option. How hard would that be really? You code it once, and that's it.

Great Price!

Comments: Overall it has been good. My main focus was the price, because as a small agency I try to keep my overhead low. I did loose some some insurance company access when I changed. Now it’s just slow updates when insurance companies are making changes.

Pros:

The rater is easily usable from any computer or phone. The monthly cost is good for a small agency. The rater and management system work perfectly together.

Cons:

The rater’s flow when quoting feels a little clunky. I think there could be improvement on the set up, so there is a smoother flow when quoting and using site. There needs to be more customization for the user. Some features are customizable to an extent, but not enough. I think the old competitor is still doing better in winning business first from insurance change roll outs. With ITC I’m stuck waiting until those changes are updated months later. To me that could be loss of business. Work more on those relations with insurance companies.

Why TurboRater

Comments: Before TurboRater I'd get a call in the evening 8 - 9 pm from dealership needing Auto Insurance. I can be in the Office in 15 minutes. Now, thanks to TurboRater being web based. I can access 24/7, 365. Quoted, Insured, in 15 minutes or less.

Pros:

Simplicity of use. It's like having your whole office in your back pocket ready when you are. other Raters keep you tied to a specific location. Very cost effective compared to others. Customer Service Tech Support knows their Product!

Cons:

What's not to like? Occasionally depending on time of evening some carriers rates won't be available till morning. Opening an existing quote doesn't accept the "set effective date" I'm probably tapping too fast. But, have your carriers are in the red due too "quoting criteria not meet" The effective date always solves that issue for me.

Accu-rate is a better product for auto quoting

Comments: Poor. It is obvious the agents who work in a high volume office were not consulted on the development and beta testing of this program. All the tedious stopping to click on pull down menus and the lack of a logical flow of driver information and driving records is frustrating and time consuming.

Pros:

ability to enter more drivers and vehicles compared to accurate; ability to enter more detailed notes when saving a quote

Cons:

Need pull down menus to automatically display options as you tab through to reduce having to click on it AND then be able to arrow key down the menu choices (county, city, whatever etc). In other words, REDUCE THE NUMBER OF TIMES MY HAND NEEDS TO LEAVE THE KEYBOARD TO CHOOSE AN ENTRY. Consolidate driver, driver attributes and violations to one screen. Have driver's state choice next to drivers license number. Look to the Accu-rate program for a logical and easy flow for drivers info/attributes

TurboRater

Comments: It has been well. Use it daily and very satisfied. We rarely have any issues with it going offline or not being able to function.

Pros:

We have been using this service for so long I don't even know where to begin. Clearly we are fans, because we have never switched to another service. We have been using TurboRater since before it was even web based. We write lots on non standard auto insurance. Using Turborater allows us to price compare against several other companies and provide the most cost effective product for our customer. It has adapted and changed well with the times (discounts, garaging addresses)

Cons:

Some auto info sets that makes little since... showing married but not listing married partner as spouse. Turborater previously auto filled as single, now married which is not the majority of the business.....

GREAT PRODUCT AWESOME PRICE

Comments: I LOVE THE PRICE, I LOVE HOW EASY IT IS TO GET A HOLD OF SOMEONE FOR SERVICE AND IT IS A VERY ACCURATE SYSTEM.

Pros:

IT IS VERY ACCURATE AND WHEN THERE ARE ISSUES IT IS SO EASY TO CONTACT TECH SUPPORT

Cons:

IT IS SOMETIMES HARD TO LOOK FOR CERTAIN THINGS FOR EXAMPLE: HOW THE EXCLUDED DRIVER SCREEN IS HIDDEN.

Great Service

Pros:

The software is very user-friendly. Once I quote a customer it is easy to bridge their information over to the insurance company’s website. It allows you to apply the discounts ahead of time and integrate them into the insurance companies system website. The best feature is that it allows you to compare all of the insurance companies rates.

Cons:

One of the cons is that not all insurance companies are rated in real time so whenever you bridge over to the companies website the rate sometimes changes.

The best comparative rater on the market

Comments: Turbo Rater is a great system that I would recommend to any agency

Pros:

There are many companies available on the rater which makes this a great system for all types of insurance agencies The cost is very affordable especially because you can quote multiple products within the system Their management system is designed so that you know exactly where your business is coming from, how much you are bringing in with a specific company, and how your overall book of business is performing Rates are very accurate and only change if the carrier manipulates rate System is very easy to navigate and I love that you can put all information on one single page

Cons:

I wish there were more preferred carriers available on the rator but that seems to be the insurance company's decision not turborater

Independent Agent's BFF

Comments: Definitely a Time Saver! I love the ease of use and how it saves the data so we can go back to old prospects

Pros:

Turbo Rater has given us the ability to make quoting so much easier as it bridges over to our different carriers and bridges over the information to our Agency Management System. It allows us to shop for our client's insurance policy and give them a snap shot of what the other carriers are charging when they want a better price.

Cons:

Some carriers are still not on Turbo Rater, all the information also does not bridge over to Agency Management System.

the violations list does not match every state and needs to be in alphabetical order, also the liability limits need not be automatically selected, need to be able to see a quote with both liability and full coverage side by side to compare instead of running quote again and again

Easy to use

Comments: Overall, I feel it a the best way to write business.

Pros:

It is great to have if you have multiple companies. You don't have to retype all the information for all of them.

Cons:

The rates are not accurate when it rates them all. I usually go into most if not all to make sure the rates are before I sell the policy.

Pros:

I like that all the company rates are in one spot to do comparison shopping for the customers.

Cons:

the companies that use credit scoring give the price based off of the best credit score rate vs the average which misleads us on pricing.

TurboRater

Comments: We have been using TurboRater for over 10 years and could not be more satisfied with this product.
It's been a reliable platform to run our insurance agency.

Pros:

Very user friendly, can quote with multiple insurance companies at the same time after filling out some basic information. Bridging quotes to insurance companies websites is a fast and easy process ensuring more sales. After making a sale, we can easily transfer the information into our agency management software.

Cons:

I haven't run into any issues while using TurboRater.

Great to use!

Comments: I have been dealing with TurboRater for over 20 years. I love how easy it is to use and how fast and accurate it usually is.

Pros:

It is easy to use. Predictable and usually up to date on all of the insurance company quirks.

Cons:

A few things have been changed that I would prefer hadn't. I like to tab through everything and I can't on the violations screen now.

Amazing Service

Comments: I have been using this software over 13 years and love it!

Pros:

I love that I can get an accurate rate for my customer in less than 10 minutes with Multiple Carriers

I would say we need a way to see if the customer has had a quote before

Turborater experience

Comments: If my staff didn't save some time using it I would get rid of it. Not accurate. Provides some value but not much. If pricing goes up I will probably stop using it.

Pros:

It does save time on auto quotes so I have an idea which company may have the best premium.

Cons:

Completely inaccurate for HO policies. Not compatible with many companies. Data does not transfer to companies for accurate quoting.

Loyal Customer

Comments: I have been a customer since about 1990 or 91 and have had other companies try to lure me away. I wouldn’t change for anything.

Pros:

I can quickly and efficiently quote every lead that calls in. No jumping from one company software to the other and entering duplicate information.

Cons:

It is hard to find anything negative about ITC TurboRater. 99.9% accurate quotes when correct information entered in.

TurboRater Review

Comments: I have a lot of companies I am appointed with. TurboRater makes my life easier when selecting the best price for my customer.

Pros:

Internet base usage is what I like most. Also the ease of adding a motorcycle policy or homeowners.

Cons:

When I put that someone has a suspended license it doesn't rate correctly with some companies like Infinity or Kemper specialty.

Comments: I have been using TurboRater for years now and have not had any issues whatsoever.

Pros:

Easy of Use and Price is Best among the Competitors.

Cons:

Nothing to report at this time. We have had little negative experiences using this rating system thus far. ITC Rater and the Support & Tech Teams have been Great!

Comments: Adequate at best

Pros:

Have had turborater almost 20 years, therefore, I have no norms or standards to compare to.

Cons:

Only get an indicator or starting point. Still have to manually compare up to 3 companies.

We are forced to use this software and hate it

Comments: We were very happy with AccuAuto and did not want to change over to Turbo Rater. We had been using it for 20 years and were pleased. We are now paying twice as much for software that does not work as well as the old software. As soon as one more of our insurance companies are available on another rating system, we will be leaving

Pros:

single screen is nice, but that is all.

Cons:

unreliable, not accurate, and definitely not AccuAuto. Over priced.

So easy to use!

Pros:

Love that this program even exists! I cannot imagine having to input a customers information one by one on a certain company lorddd thank god for this system. Love how the information that is inputted transfers over to the insurance company

Cons:

Sometimes but very rarely the system will go down & takes forever to load. Some of the information inputted on ITC sometimes doesn't transfer over accurately to the insurance company. Those are my only 2 downfalls.
