About Postman
Postman is the world’s leading API platform, used by more than 30 million developers and 500,000 organizations worldwide.
I like how quickly it is to test API collections. Having multiple environments also makes it super easy to change variables being used in requests.
It adds some headers to your request, regardless of your authorization, and sometimes this leads to an error response from my backend APIs.

Best tool for API Testing
Comments: I like this tool very much for API and Database testing and It is very easy to use and validation check is very important for this tool.
Pros:
It is best tool for testing API's before integration as well as to check validation. We can easily know the Backend Database Validation as well as API responses and their time as well as input data in the form of Params , helps very much.
Cons:
I do not see any major issue in this tool and it is best tool used by major Software Community. It is easy to handle and there is no drawback in this tool.
A good experience, to handle APIs functional test, and share collections.
Comments: A good experience, to handle APIs functional test, and share collections.
Pros:
It is a great tool for API functional testing.
Cons:
sometimes it becomes tough to debug APIs
The most useful instrument for the API testing in your business
Comments: My overall experience with Postman has been positive. It’s an intuitive tool for API testing with powerful features like automated testing, detailed request/response analysis, and team collaboration. However, it can become slow with large requests, and sometimes syncing issues arise in team workspaces. Despite these drawbacks, it remains a highly effective and widely-used tool for API development and testing.
Pros:
User-friendly interface, powerful API testing capabilities, automated test scripting, detailed request/response analysis, and robust collaboration features.
Cons:
Can be slow with large requests, occasional syncing issues in team workspaces, and limited support for certain authentication protocols.
If I could I would give it a minus infinite so that it cancels out other reviews
Pros:
Nothing, Nothing, Nothing, Nothing, Nothing
Cons:
Localhost request didnt work at all setting a simple content type is a pain The response flow is bad
A Great API tool
Comments: A great experience running and storing APIs collections, and easy to share across the company
Pros:
Its versatility to store and share APIs collections and authorization within APIs grouped
Cons:
It is not possible to perform Load testing
An important API testing tool
Comments: Despite the challenge that goes into setting up this tool, it remains invaluable in my day to day development.
Pros:
Flexible, featureful and inexpensive. Once set up, it is an invaluable tool to assist my API testing efforts
Cons:
Due to how featureful it is, it has a steep learning curve. Meerly setting up a single request and response is easy enough, but trying to sort out a whole API and environments on it will prove challenging.
Everyday software for API testing
Comments: I do backend API development and I use postman for those API testing. Most importantly it is free. Postman saves my time a lot.
Pros:
I can create postman requests for APIs and test them. I can add headers, parameters, request bodies and this supports different API formats such as REST and SOAP. Usually I use REST API testing and once I test them, I copy the curl and send it to others or I export the collection and send if I have multiple APIs. I must say this is very organizable tool where I can create collections and inside I can create folders and save data and later I can search them easily.
Cons:
I have been using postman for 6 years now and I haven't experience any issue.
Best tool for your API testing
Comments: Postman is by far the best tool for API testing. I use to not only test my APIs but also to document all the API endpoints that I have with their respective categories. This tool is a must-have for any backend developer.
Pros:
- Postman provides a very intuitive UI to test your APIs. It also provides almost all the available headers in the request that enable you to test your APIs. - The best part is you can get code in your programming language for the API call that you have just tested. - It also provides a workspace feature where you can group similar requests that may be related to one application. - Another big advantage of Postman is that it offers collections of APIs for various popular services, including Google Maps, PayPal, Twitter, and more. This is a fantastic feature as it saves much time that would otherwise be spent researching these API documents.
Cons:
You must log into the Postman before saving a workspace or importing existing API requests. This becomes problematic as people who work in enterprises hesitate to enter their work email IDs in non-authorized vendors. It may be hard for someone new to programming to interact with the interface as it has too many options, I don't however count it as a con as Postman does the job well for API testing.
A Must-Have Tool for API Development, Testing and Collaboration
Comments: I've been using Postman for a long time now, and I’ve had a great experience with it. It has made my life as a developer much easier.
Pros:
Postman simplifies the process of creating, testing, and documenting APIs. The APIs can be organized into Collections, which makes managing requests and documenting them easier and effortless. Workspaces enable efficient team collaboration, making it a versatile tool for both individual and collaborative development.
Cons:
There's nothing I dislike about Postman. While the free tier has some limitations for collaboration, it hasn't been an issue for me.
Review of postman
Pros:
It provides user friendly interface and provides integration support for different CI/CD pipelines
Cons:
It doesn not provide much support for debugging
Great product
Comments: It's a good experience, it's always my option when testing my endpoints
Pros:
It's very easy to use, configuring my environments and saving the collections is no problem.
Cons:
Lately I have had problems with resource consumption while running
Decent software for API Testing
Pros:
Postman provides the ability for setting environments, writing tests, and creating different workspace, which is greatly convenient to have alongside API testing. It also allows to create and store structure folders and HTTP calls to help find the right API calls for all the team members.
Cons:
Although most of the features provided by Postman are great, there has been some challenges working with file uploads, mostly in GraphQL. As the query variables are provided in JSON, files are not able to be directly uploaded through there, and some hack with form data is required to send calls with file upload instead of sending from within graphql tab.
Very user friendly, easy to use and rich feature set
Comments: I am overall very happy with the tool and it delivers what it promises.
Pros:
It is very easy to use and learn. Even a new developer can start working on it in a day or two. It has a lot of rich features for creating API, testing and version control.
Cons:
Haven't come across any such feature, it has almost everything that we need.
[sensitive content hidden] web developer postman review
Comments: For me postman is a very essential tool to ensure the proper functioning of an API
Pros:
Quick API testing from a nice GUI and http request testing and keeping a history
Cons:
A little complicated to do a test without going through the json
Postman for Non-Profits
Pros:
Easy to use, easy to setup. We can test any API that we are connecting to in this environment before we roll it out to our production environment
Cons:
Took longer than I expected to run the product. Each API key will be unique and you need to account for how to use it in the software
Postman Review
Pros:
Very useful for testing and using my APIs. I also love the grouping system.
Cons:
I found it weak in terms of using it as a team.
Limiting Runs with paid license
Pros:
The ability to use CSV files to populate the JSON body object for API requests
Cons:
With a Basic license, essentially $20/month, you can only process a CSV file 25 times before your monthly limit expires. With a complex JSON object and large CSV file, it may take 25 times just to get it working. This is the worst licensing model they have possibly devised.
Most famous API development tool
Comments: This is a tool that I use everyday in my office to test the APIs.
Pros:
I create customized requests with headers and parameters. I can create Apis and save them inside collections. Creating collections make everything organizable and I can export and import them easily. Postman can be integrated with jira and github.
Cons:
I experienced some slowness and functionality issues when I create or test large APIs with large request bodies.
Best platform for API design and testing.
Comments: my overall experience with postman has been great.
Pros:
Postman is one of the best platforms for API design and testing, it has a very easy-to-use UI and it has great features which make API design and testing very easy. It also supports sharing the API collection which helps a lot.
Cons:
The only thing that I dislike about postman is that if you don't have their premium plan then the shared API collection can be changed by anyone.
Postman - Test your API
Comments: Using this postman we test our API code here and use that code in UiPath studio.
Pros:
We can easily develop and testing and integrate API using this postman very efficiently.
Cons:
The user interface little bit complex for new users.
Postman
Comments: Easy to use and user friendly UI
Pros:
We can share collection of api using postman and environment functionality is too good.
Cons:
Nothing is bad in the postman tools. My all are experience is good with postman tools
This postman delivers!
Comments: A great tool for unit testing on demand
Pros:
Features that allow to store collections offline and online, added with workspaces to collaborate with team
Cons:
Using the tool for private networks isn't very convenient as the connections aren't robust enough when switching networks. This can be sorted by restarting postman but still an area that can be improved
Postman Review
Pros:
I have been using Postman for couple of years now, It is user friendly comparing to its rivals. The import and export feature that it has is very useful to share the CURLS across organization. The requests that we are using or testing can be saved in folders which improves the governance.
Cons:
I do not see anything to like least or dislike in Postman.
Must have this tool to develop and test API in real time.
Comments: From my observations and knowledge, Postman is a well-designed and reliable tool that offers a range of features for API development, testing, and automation. Its intuitive user interface makes it easy to use, even for those with limited coding experience, while its powerful collaboration capabilities allow for faster feedback and testing.
Pros:
One of the most significant advantages of Postman is its user-friendly interface. The platform is intuitive and straightforward to use, even for those without extensive coding experience. It allows you to quickly create and test your APIs, with a variety of features to help you streamline the process.Overall, Postman is an essential tool for any developer working with APIs. It is easy to use, highly customizable and features powerful collaboration capabilities.
