SmartSHOW 3D - The best option for Slideshow Presentations and More.

Comments: My overall experience is very good with SmartSHOW 3D. It helps you create slideshows in a breeze, is very easy to understand, very user-friendly. A must-have for every designer and for every marketing company.

Pros:

This product goes above and beyond many other competitors. The software is very easy to use, very easy to learn, if you have used a few presentation programs before, you will land on your feet as soon as you start using SmartSHOW 3D. It is very user-friendly, the fact that it comes with integrated animations will really help you in every step of your final product creation. Adding slides, importing media to your project, everything works flawlessly and it is a rapid presentation development program. This program is really an asset for your design library. I have used quite a few programs for slideshow presentations before, from really well-known ones to hard-to-understand programs, and honestly I can tell SmartSHOW 3D is my go-to program for slideshow presentations ever since I got the program.

Cons:

I would love to have more integrated templates, ready-made complete slideshows will be really handy.

SmartSHOW 3D issue

Comments: Disappointed. If a find another program which has the same features , i will ditch Smartshow 3D.

Pros:

Ease of use. The interface is intuitive and has good slide transitions.

This program is SO unstable. It is constantly crashing. Which is a pity, as it suits my purpose and is easy to use and has all the features i require for the videos I produce. However i find it exhausting with it constantly crashing. I have requested help from their support team and they have responded quickly, but to date have not been able to provide any answers to my problem. I run Windows 11 on a powerful laptop and the video i am currently experiencing this problem with is only 20 minutes duration.The text editor is very clunky and limited in the amount of text one can add to a slide.

Nice but has flaws

Comments: The program will shut down without warning, especially of it is larger presentation. I have lost hours of work because of this shutting down. NO other program on my computer does this so it must be your software.
Because of this, I have to save after each step or function that I perform. Honestly, it's a pain in the neck.

Pros:

Somewhat easy to use. Filmora has better editing features, especially with the music tracks

Cons:

Editing musical tracks is not an easy task. And spacing tracks between video clips is a hassle. One should be able to place the track at the point where it is desired, not immediately behind the previous musical track and then have to manually move it.

Easy to use and full featured

Comments: I'm a stay-at-home mom who wanted to create a slideshow memorial for my late grandfather's funeral. Rather than a traditional slideshow with still images, I decided to take a chance with SmartShow 3D and was able to create a 30-minute long video using still images to document his life. Despite my lack of tech-savviness, SmartShow 3D was easy to use and after only a few hours using it, I was customizing the included templates and creating my own, with a good understanding of how the user interface works. Overall, I am very satisfied with SmartShow 3D. I'll recommend it to others and will use it again!

Pros:

SmartShow 3D was extremely easy to use. I was able to create a 30-minute video using my own photos, with built-in animation templates. After using it for about two hours, I realized how easy it was to customize every second of the video and make it look exactly as I wanted. The built-in animation templates are great and the final product (exported video in one of many file formats) was easy to access.

Cons:

The only (minor) complaint I had about SmartShow 3D is that I would have liked to have seen more built-in images and stock photos that could be used in the video production.

Fantastic project creator

Comments: Being able to create a beautiful project and share with my family and friends is very rewarding.

Pros:

easy to use and love all the choices for creating a project. beautiful colors and themes.

Cons:

maybe some more up to date music. I Would prefer not to have to buy full version for life time updates. Would like to see updates for all programs on a regular basis.

Comments: At first I wanted my money back but after completing my first show I love it. I can see that it has a lot of potiential. The learning curve to figure out how to make changes long but I plan to stick with it.

Pros:

It is easy and quick to greate a beautulful slideshoow.

Comments: I have had a great experience!

I like to take the basic template and adjust for my needs. It's not always easy to accomplish that.

Comments: see ticket # 133048. I'm really pissed off and tried Photopia which worked with all the .mov files that did not work in Smart Show 3D.

Pros:

Everything WHEN IT WORKED! It was fine until I upgraded to the latest version. From that point on, all .mov files loaded sideways and after a minute or so, the app shut down. I tried on many occasions to resolve this with tech support, but there was no easy way to send the .mov file to them see ticket # 133048. It drove me crazy. I asked for a refund on the upgrade, but they keep on ignoring it.

Cons:

Upgrade messed up the app big time. All I want now is a refund in which they ignore. I've used the software for years with no issues. The upgrade seemed to destroy the app. see ticket 133048.

Recommendations for making it easier to use

Comments: It has been good except for burning a DVD.
6. BURNING DVDs. For some reason, when I click "Burn DVD" it doesn't and I have to go to the "Create DVD Folder" option. This is not good. When "Burn DVD" is selected the output should be the burned DVD drawer automatically opening.
As well, the direction for the "Create DVD folder" are not clear & leads to confusion.

Pros:

Many useful features, particularly photo enhancement and music volume control as the show proceeds.

Cons:

There are always routine actions that repeat time and time again. 1. TEXT. Every time I want to add text I have to start all over. I strongly suggest that once a style, font, size, etc. is chosen that it shows up automatically the next time adding text is selected. 2. TRANSITIONS. I happen to not like fancy & varied transitions, I find they are distracting, particularly while editing the show. I should not have to go to the "same transition throughout" option every time I insert a picture. I suggest AN ADDITIONAL option that automatically inserts the same transaction after each picture, movie clip, etc. 3. MANAGING TEXT. I like to have text fade in and fade out and therefore I select 6 points where I make changes in opacity. 0%, 0%, 100% 100% 0%, 0%. It would be useful for text management to be selected the first time only and shows up for every following text insertion. If changed on, for example the 4th picture, then the change would be carried on to the next text insertion. 4.ZOOMING PICTURE SIZE. Would it be possible to have this done directly with the "mouse" rather than clicking on the "+"or "-" icons, in the same way the picture location can be changed? 5. TITLE FOR DVDs. Is missing from Version 20. Thus, for computers, the computer software is required to start the DVD rathe than clicking "start" on the title. This is very inconvenient. Unusual as well. 6. BURNING DVDs. See below.

I wouldn't recommend this company or their customer service to anyone.

Comments: I purchased the Smartshow 3D - GOLD EDITION on Saturday 10/8/2022. I never received an access key and they don't seem to respond to any question that I've been sending about it, Buyer beware this company may not exist except for a computer-generated response to my initial purchase. I feel that I've been ripped off.

Pros:

Absolutely nothing you oay for a product and you don't receive it and then there customer service sucks.

Cons:

It's hard to answer that question because I never received my software product.

Smartshow 3D- Simple product to master, limited only by your own imagination.

Comments: My experience is excellent, but at presentations which use Smartshow 3D the audience is amazed at the quality/ sophistication of the product. Little do they know how easy it was to produce

Pros:

Simplicity of use, backup from Technical staff ( have used this a couple of times). Excellent response. Templates provide an excellent starting point to produce a video clip, but give the ability to make changes and create a unique presentation.

Cons:

Nothing.....have not found anything that I cannot produce , even without using a template

50th Wedding Anniversary Celebration Slideshow

Pros:

This software was very easy to use. In using the free download (and then purchasing the Gold plan), I was able to teach myself most of the basics of creating a slideshow. I especially liked placing the slides and making the transitions between the slides. The collages feature was good, too, but some collages were harder to understand and more difficult to create. Overall, I was pleased with my final product, and the software (along with customer service) was a big assist in helping me to make the slideshow work well!

Cons:

There are only two things that frustrated me. First, most of my learning was by trial and error. The online tutorials were not that helpful for me. Of course, I was under a tight timeline and needed fast, specific answers, which the tutorials were not designed to give me. Perhaps, now that the pressure is off of me, I can go back into the software and teach myself more of the finesse (making music transitions) and short-cuts (creating multi-picture collages) that are available to me that I simply didn't have time to fully explore on my first slideshow. The second issue for me was that as the slideshow got longer and more complex, the more fragile the software seemed to become. It crashed on me several times (boy, was I glad I had bought the option to download this software as many times as I wanted). It was a pain to keep downloading, but it always came back pretty much where I left off (I did “Save Project” often, though). Eventually I learned to be more deliberate and allow the software to work slowly. Other than these two slight challenges, I thought this software was a great purchase, and I am looking forward to making many more slideshows in the future.

The versatility of SmartShow 3D

Comments: My experience with SmartShow 3D is that it allows me to take my ideas to their fullest potential without jumping through hoops to accomplish them.

Pros:

I mostly like the SmartShow 3D versatility to be able to import video, do perplexing moves with my photos, and incorporate them into a slideshow is awesome.

Cons:

I would be nice to be able to choose skins if you like a dark background or white in the UI.

Comments: It has got me through a lot of important meetings. So all in all it was a good buy.

I like the ease of adding music. And photos. The process is super quick.

I wish they had more templates for different occasions.

Best Slideshow Software for the money

Comments: I am able to create very nice slideshows in little time. I can then show or distribute the show/s without requiring an Internet connection

Pros:

Very powerful with little investment. 5 minute slideshow is prefect for rush projects and beginners.

Cons:

No Mac version , difficulty using photos stored on NAS drives on network. Worked fine as long as files were stored locally.

Comments: Faster and quicker projects completed without software issues, such as crashes when working on a project.

Pros:

There are so many features that I like about this software with not one really standing out. If I had to name one it would be ease of use compared to other slide show software that I have used previously. With my previous experience there was no need to read a manual just open up and start a project.

Cons:

I like the music library and there is many selections that I have used. However, there is a lack of dedicated music, such as for wildlife, other countries, special occasions ect. with no way to purchase music to add to the software.

Comments: I have produced many professional-grade presentations to many diversified audiences, all with fabulous responses.

Pros:

This software is VERY user-friendly and easy to implement for any desired production.

Cons:

Given my experience with many other similar products, I do not "dislike" anything about SmartSHOW 3D

It seems to be pretty easy to modify projects - even after publication. I add slides as additional content becomes available or appropriate to insert and/or include.

It would certainly be very welcome to have a media library of music and other enhancements to use that were not copyrighted.

Great price

Comments: Over all it was good, great if your on a budget.

Pros:

The application is well worth the cost of what you get. The learning curve is not too bad. The purchased temples were hard to find, but I did. The editing ability is good, not great. It would be nice if the temples did not have words in them and spent lots of time changing them. Overall it a good application at a good price, I give it an overall rating of 8.5 because the price point is good.

Cons:

The editing of templets, moving pictures to fit in the frames, the UI should be more user friendly

Makes my projects so much faster!

Comments: This software works for a reason, in that it was well thought out and for the price is well worth it. As soon as you open the software you can find your way in a couple of minutes and the interface is very user friendly. I use the Timeline layout so I can see my slide/video clip timeline, audio timeline and a nice touch is being able to record audio on a separate timeline, which is great if you want to narrate your project. Of course those who want to keep it breezy easy can use the storyboard mode. There's over 200 soundtracks available (actually usable, not cheesy techno pop creations) or you can add your own audio, and you can set control points (keyframes) to adjust your levels throughout the clip. There's a wide variety of quality transitions and you can even create your own. I shoot weddings in the summer and hybrid videos are becoming more common. While a drag and drop software sounds appealing, the frustration with most of them are the limitations they have but this one makes many of my projects easy and fast without compromising quality. What I wish I could do is stop/start the play button with the spacebar.

Pros:

Interface is well layed out, keyframes, quality and customizable transitions, music library is actually decent unlike some softwares who have techno pop add ons. The software also exports quickly and renders quality vids and stills.

Cons:

Not being to stop and start the clips using the spacebar
