Cloud Data Syncing software
Pros:
Simple settings and plugins.Cloud Data synchronisation and large file sharing.Visual edition.Cloud Data storage and maximum encryption.
Cons:
If I were to reward cloud Data management vendors, I would undoubtedly reward egnyte.
Alternatives Considered:
The best corporate grade cloud file server out there
Comments: So far, so good; it's a modern incarnation of the file server.Permissions are easy to manage by non-technical staff. It's a bit pricey but is the backbone of our company. The compliance and security are up there with the best; it's a product we truly trust.
Pros:
The governance and security architecture.Running on Egnyt's own data centres.Nothing ever gets lost.Search filters are accurate.Search within files.Desktop product is comfortable for users.Intrusion control is easy to configure.Archiving policies aligned with GDPR.The desktop agent is auto-updating.Support is excellent and fast whatever time of the day.The NAS (smart cache) hybrid product is easy to run and very stable running on a version of Linux.
Cons:
With the clunky implementation of co-editing Microsoft Office files, users find it hard to get used to compared with OneDrive. The local file editor tool WebEdit is not auto-updating.
My experience with egnyte
Comments: We use Egnyte to share, access, upload/download files within and outside the office. It serves well some days but I am personally not a big fan of it knowing there are other platforms that work more seamlessly.
Pros:
I like the fact that its cloud based and has mobile sharing too, makes sharing files between office locations possible and easy.
Cons:
Its not the best content sharing platform I've used.It doesn't really integrate well with google and can be confusing to use sometimes.

Engyte provides enterprise solutioning for a small business price.
Comments: File sharing across the company as well as with outside resources has made this product a no brainerr for me to use and recommend.
Pros:
Ease of setup and administration - multiple platform access (web, local drive mapping, app)
Cons:
No much - given how flexible the platform is , the guidance on how to use it, and the success rate, this is really nothing I can say negative.
Sturdy for Mid Size companies
Pros:
Better than Dropbox, more secure than Box.
Cons:
The mobile app sometimes experienced glitches and sync issues. And the desktop app doesn’t have a good offline mode in case of lost connectivity.
A reliable and user-friendly cloud storage solution with a few drawbacks
Comments: Overall, I would recommend Egnyte to other small business owners as a reliable and user-friendly cloud storage solution, despite the drawbacks mentioned above.
Pros:
I have been using Egnyte for my small business for the past 6 months and have found it to be a reliable and user-friendly cloud storage solution. The platform is easy to navigate, and I appreciate the ability to store and access my files from anywhere with an internet connection. The integration with other business tools, such as Google Drive and Microsoft Office, has also been very helpful. I synced all my devices to it to make my workflow smoother.
Cons:
However, there are a few drawbacks to using Egnyte that I have encountered. Firstly, the pricing can be a bit steep for smaller businesses like mine, especially if you need to store a large amount of data. Secondly, the search function could be improved - I have found it to be somewhat unreliable at times. Thirdly, the customer support could be more responsive - it can take a while to get a response when you have an issue that needs addressing. Finally, there have been a few instances where the platform has experienced downtime, which can be frustrating.
Share your heavy files by egnyte
Comments: Password protection of your file is too good for security of a file.
Pros:
We can share a heavy file that can not be shared by email. We can lock this file by password and share the password a particular one.
Cons:
Mobile view can be modified and meet the expectations.
Alternatives Considered:
Good and robust solution, but higher priced
Comments: Overall we had a great experience with Egnyte. Works fast, the sync and sharing features are good. But we divided our storage solution into two different parts (high volume video files and corporate docs). We found that the maximum file size limit for Egnyte was too small for us.
Pros:
There are a lot of great features including authentication, sync with 3rd party NAS devices, easy sharing.
Cons:
I would say we found it too expensive for ourselves. Maybe we didn't used all of the functions that Egnyte allows.
The biggest offering for cloud storage on the market
Comments: It literally makes an all cloud central server possible.
Pros:
Everything it does. Google Docs and O365 docs in the same ecossytem. Version control. SUPER granular access privilege control. Trash for up to 6 months. AND Protect as an optional add on that give AMAZING levels of data security. And on top of all that the support team is super helpful and fast to respond.
Cons:
It has its buggy moments. The mobile offering is definitely weaker than the desktop. Deployment can be tricky because it has its quirks you have to train users on.
Alternatives Considered:
Egnyte is a does it all software with security being its strong point.
Comments: Egnyte has a very strong security, but it also offers other features at the same time, and they do work very well. I would recommend Egnyte for big companies who what a document management software with strong security.
Pros:
The encryption and key management are the best ones in the sector.
Cons:
Egnyte appears to be made only for big companies.
We couldn't work without it
Comments: Previously we were using a physical server and when we started with Egnyte years ago "the Cloud" wasn't as big as it is now. From the start it was obvious that this was a superior way of having a server that we have never looked back.
Pros:
Is everything an acceptable response? Easy to setup - easy to use Plugin for Outlook - can create download links to send entire folders Can setup either as something that syncs a specific file(s) to the Egnyte server or have direct access to the server (depending on the user one is better then the other). Mobile apps for both iOS and Andriod - everyone has access to all their files from anywhere they have data coverage or Wi-Fi Their tech support is top notch, always responds same day.
Cons:
I have yet to find a con. I guess there are free options available (Google Drive and OneDrive) but the free options are very limited so you'll have to eventually buy a plan anyways.
Engyte is the perfect platform to store your work in the cloud
Pros:
This software ends with the big file sharing issues by storing all your work files in the cloud. This comes with the benefit of keeping your computer clean and light. Also, sharing files among coworkers is made easy by using short links. You can specify the type of permissions you want for a given folder so that you can make it available only to a particular group of people, for example. This is useful when sensitive content is being shared. Another great functionality, if you work with vendors, is you can provide them with a link that will just allow them to drop files while they won't be able to see or modify its contents.
Cons:
- While having everything in the cloud is great you need to account for time spent downloading and uploading content, which can be a lot depending on your Internet connection.
Egnyte
Pros:
The ease of use, accesability to files from any network, super easy to transfer files to anyone via a link so that emails don't get bogged down. I'd say my favorite feature is the outlook add-in that lets me upload and share my large media files.
Cons:
At first, I didn't like the desktop sync because it confused a lot of users in my office and created double storage caches of files. However, they switched to egnyte connect and I believe these problems were solved.
Keeps all records in one place
Comments: All team members file all our contracts, all documents from our clients and even each team member has their own personal folder
Pros:
This product keeps all our records from all team members in one place. It makes it easy to see if we already have contact with a client, file all contracts, and also we can securely share files with clients
Cons:
I have no complaints, this is a very expandable product. It has served well in organizing all our client records
Egnyte holds a ton of documents
Comments: Used it to store and share documents throughout a team
Pros:
I like Egnyte because it's easy to access previous versions of documents and also easy to share documents within and outside our network
Cons:
Some features are much easier to use on the browser version than the finder version of the software. It is also difficult to reorganize large numbers of files
Still missing key features but overall pretty good
Pros:
Customer support answers in a timely manner, features keep getting added, feature request that you asked for will get added in the future sometimes, syncing local NAS drives to the cloud, versioning of files and restoring of files.
Cons:
Sometimes features that you request will get ignored, navigating through the website is slow, common sense features like deleting multiple links are left out. The trash bin is very slow response, deleting shared links is very tedious, user run reports are out dated.
We use Egnyte within our Salesforce org. It has been great from the start.
Pros:
Being able to have Egnyte integrate with Salesforce is a must. The software gives us a documents for each of our records and was pretty easy to setup. Love it!
Cons:
With us using Egnyte wishing Salesforce, we never use their web interface (which is still great) and we currently don't have a way to search files in individual records. This feature would be a great and helpful addition.
Egnyte Database
Comments: Happy with the service they provide. The software is simple and efficient.
Pros:
Really happy using this product. It is our company's primary data repository and offers us an efficient way to manage our data. As a user, setup was incredibly easy with just a link to follow and within a minute I had a z-drive set up and and it was just like accessing a normal folder on my hard drive. Happy to be using it. It is simple and efficient, yet powerful.
Cons:
Didnt work so well over the web as there appears to be default privilege restrictions in editing/changing folders but once a z drive is set up it was fine
Easy Access Anywhere
Comments: There are still a lot of features I haven't event started to use, so it is really exciting what possibilities are available.
Pros:
I love that I can access documents I need anywhere -- we moved from an onsite server that required a VPN to access off-site and which was slow and not very useful, to Egnyte which allows my to grab documents from my phone and is so much more efficient.
Cons:
Sorting documents is a bit lacking sometimes when I want to simply search for the most recent document of any file time within a number of subfolders. There is no real good way to do this at this time.
Useful tool for storing and sharing documents
Pros:
The software can hold multiple folders and documents. Different security levels can be set up to restrict or grant access. Very useful tool for sharing in multiple work locations.
Cons:
If one person accidentally moves a root folder. It could take a lot of effort to retrieve and cause significant pause as people will not able to access during the retrieval process.
Decent file exchange platform
Comments: Great product that served it’s purpose on the project I worked on. The features are constantly updated and optimized
Pros:
Intuitive user-friendly interface, packed with useful features like version history, online editing via MS Office
Cons:
Two factor authentication is wobbly sometimes
Make Nonprofit Board Volunteers Happy!
Pros:
This product provides the easiest way to share and collaborate on documents for remote volunteer bird members. It’s intuitively set up like a normal server, but allows for real time live collaboration in documents.
Cons:
I would not change a thing on this software solution!
Egnyte is very good, but it could be great.
Comments: No complaints here. They've always been responsive, courteous, and professional.
Pros:
Ease of setup. Ease of use. Quasi-Explorer-type interface feels familiar to clients.
Cons:
The permissions need more granularity. Specifically, there needs to be a way to create virtual collections of documents, and then selectively share those virtual buckets with clients.
Great cloud storage option
Pros:
Easy access to files from anywhere. Love the access history feature which shows who is accessing your files. Easily grant different types of access, ie read only.
Cons:
Unless your users keep up with software updates, access to updated files goes away. This proves troublesome for companies with less tech savvy employees.
Medical record storage
Comments: Great billing and customer service interactions
Pros:
They were HIPPA compliant at the time my company used it years ago, I'm guessing they still are
Cons:
No complaints. It isn't a full featured EMR, but we wanted something simple
