It’s okay

Pros:

Payworks is a fine program to use when the main purpose is payroll and great for a small company.

Cons:

Payworks is very finicky and does not offer a lot of features compared to other softwares out there.

Comments: It has been good, people have been extremely helpful.

None. for the most part it ease to use and affordable.

Affordable Payroll / HR / workforce Solution but don't expect much beyond that

Comments: Been using payworks for a long time, it is a simple tool for payroll, time off, vacation management and if you add the other components to it, it will still works but it's just not very fully integrated compare to ripping or other total HRIS / Payroll solutions on the market. Security would be a concern as it doesn't seem like the company or the product is fully innovative OR secure compare to a Deel OR Namely if you compare it to other competitors on the market. Looking at the history of the company, it's been around for a long time so it's not a startup and will probably not have new features release down the road.

Pros:

It's a fully integrated Payroll/HR / Workforce management tool for smb/corporate or book keepers or accountants. It also has other HRIS / or ATS add ons as well as it tries to be jack of all trades.

Cons:

I think Payroll should stick to being a Payroll process provider and beyond that the other add ons are like any other tool on the market like Bamboo OR Workable OR Rippling but it's not written the software in a very sophisticated way that you feel that they are an expert in other fields beyond just running payrolls.

Controller

Comments: Overall amazing experience, friendly customer support.
Solution driven team.

Pros:

The ease of performing all the tasks on one website which includes Payroll Deductions, Employee benefits. Fees are the lowest with good support.

Cons:

Absence Management is included as an additional cost, also there is no application.

Payworks product review

Comments: We have had a great experience and we have not faced any problems. Any issue that we needed resolved were quickly resolved. The customer service is available when needed. The system seems to do everything we need and more.

Pros:

User-friendly interface, ease of transition from another payroll provider, knowledgeable staff. Even if our contact person is not available and we call the main customer service the individuals are always able to assist.

Cons:

Difficult to say. There is so much to learn it can be a bit overwhelming but I hate to say that this is a disadvantage it just takes time to learn. One suggest that we had was to include the ability to download the basic payroll reports, with one lick but as individual files, rather than all in one document. Just a minor thing but would be helpful as we are currently saving them individually.

Payroll Manager

Comments: I have used Payworks in few companies. I recommended Payworks to my current employer as well. I like the customer service team as they are very supportive and friendly.

Pros:

It's user friendly than most of the payroll systems I have used so far. And very reasonable pricing.

Cons:

I wish we had more report writing capacity when we don't have HR module. Payworks should develop a system to do even US payroll since most of the big companies operate in US & Canada.

Comments: I have worked with multiple Payroll programs over the years and payworks is for sure by far the best.

Pros:

I love the ease of use with deductions. No need to calculate yourself or to submit to CRA

Cons:

Don't know if there is anything that i personally dislike but some employees say the program on their phones does not work very well a lot of the time.

Top Notch Payroll Service

Comments: I've been with PW for 16 years. Overall it's been a positive experience.

Pros:

It is convenient and user friendly. On the rare occasions I've had issues and need customer support, I've encountered experienced knowledgeable staff who have helped resolve the problem quickly.

Cons:

There isn't anything I've found to be negative with using Payworks.

Easy enough to navigate as an employee, and has many options for seeing all required documents for payroll

I feel like the pay statement could be a little easier to navigate - it's a bit difficult to read at times or find out "what's what"
