Cost-effective Observability Tool

Comments: As a Developer and a professional technical writer, I constantly like to run learning experiments to study new technologies, Middleware helps me a lot with performance monitoring for almost all my experiments. I have also used it to debug issues on my test apps.

Pros:

Their APM module and the unified dashboard that offers Logs, Metrics, and Traces on one screen

Cons:

To be honest, I never faced any downside of using Middleware

Being responsible for managing costs, I'm always looking for solutions that provide exceptional value. Middleware does precisely that.

Comprehensive monitoring capabilities: Middleware offers a wide range of monitoring capabilities, allowing deeper insights into the performance of our systems and applications.Easy Integration and Setup: The installation setup was easy and quick. I didn’t face any challenge what’s so ever.

Cons:

Limited Customization Options: They do offer the ability to create custom dashboards, but I personally didn’t feel it to be so useful.

Full-stack observability platform with shallow learning curve.

Comments: I tried Middleware during my upskilling process, where I tried, tested and learned various observability tools. As someone who also used other observability tools, I found Middleware to be the least complicated. The tool was easy to use, they had detailed documentation, and their installation process was relatively easier than Datadog. I continue to use them for my side projects and experiments.

Pros:

Shallow learning curve. As someone relatively new to the DevOps ecosystem, I found Middleware to be very easy to use and set up. I rarely had to ask the support team for any help; when I did, they quickly resolved it.

Cons:

To be honest, I didn’t notice any downside of using Middleware. However, I noticed that they offer integration to a very limited number of third-party services and apps.

A great product that simplifies connectivity between applications

I have used this product mainly for monitor and tracking logs, it has been really useful to track down the issue and do a thorough root cause analysis.

Cons:

Middleware has been a great product so there is nothing to dislike as such.
