More privacy and safety, but not for entry-level users.

4.0 2 months ago New

Comments: I started using Brave due to cybersecurity concerns and I'm not going back to other browers. Filtering ads, trackers, cookies really makes browsing faster and safer. There are a lot of things that Brave needs to do to become perfect, especially interesting to a less "tech educated" audience.

Pros:

The ability to filter a lot of cookies and invasive advertising makes browsing safer and with less data consumption.

Cons:

Their in built search engine is terrible and useless.

A good alternative for Chrome but not mature enough

3.0 3 years ago

Comments: An average experience, for now I have decided to switch back to chrome but I hope that in the future Brave will mature nicely and I will definitely test it again

Pros:

I love the embedded thor browser and the torrent client, that's a big BRAVO

Cons:

It happened often that a web page that would flawlessy work with chrome or other browsers did not load or it was broken. Also imho the rewards system is non-sense and pretty annoying.

The best browser so far for a private and care free life on the Internet

5.0 6 months ago

Pros:

First I heard and started using Brave because of its ads blocker feature. You can access any website you want, without suspicious and unwanted ads popping up. After exploring the browser in-depth I realized there are even more advantages like being one of the safest browsers while in private mode, thanks to its built-in Shields for cookies, trackers, etc., built-in free VPN, and Firewall.

Cons:

What I found that can be improved is the syncing feature, when I tried to sync the have account on my PC and 2 phones (Android and iPhone) sometimes not all bookmarks are updated accordingly.

Affordable Private Browsing

4.0 9 months ago

Comments: I can't complain. Brave provides most of the bells and whistles of other browsers.

Pros:

Brave easily minimizes my internet footprint while allowing me to generate minimal income depending on my browsing habits.

Cons:

I can't think of anything. It would be nice if it were not based on the Chrome engine.

Possibly the best browser on the market especially in terms of privacy features

5.0 2 years ago

Comments: Brave is a great product for anyone that is looking for a native Broswer that has privacy and ad-blocking features already integrated. Ever since my discovery it has been my go-to and I am looking forward to using it in the future

Pros:

The homescreen with a clear overview of all the essential features and access to apps such as Brave Wallet, VPNs and more

Cons:

There is not really anything to say here, my experience with Brave has been overwhelmingly positive

Great Browser, similar to Chrome that protects your Privacy

5.0 last year

Comments: Great experience. Is my default browser. It's free, easy to use and it protects your privacy. The only thing that I'd like to improve is that sometimes it seems not to be compatible with some website (specially if there are popups).

Pros:

It protects your privacy and is very easy to use.

Cons:

It produces bugs with some website. If something is not working, I usually open it in Chrome and works well.

Comments: Very positive. Download, install, configure a few items, browse. Dead easy!

Pros:

Easy setup, but there's a lot of customisation available if that's what you want.

Cons:

The choice of avatar. I'd like to be able to upload my own avatar design.

One of the safest search engines at the moment

5.0 12 months ago

Pros:

The two main things that sparked my interest in Brave and made it the only browser I use are the Ads and Cookies blockers. You don't need to install or use another app, you don't have to go through multiple or complicated steps to activate the blockers. It is a simple procedure that 100% works.

Cons:

There are no downsides to using Brave, but if there is a thing I would improve, it would be the possibility of having more freedom to customize the browser. For now, there are only a limited number of extensions available.

Privacy base browser for secure your identity

4.0 last year

Comments: I am satisfied and I am recommending everyone to use it. It will give you a lot of dependency on yourself. So you should give it a try.

Pros:

If you are looking for a browser that will keep your online identity secure then Brave is a good option for you. I enjoyed using it because the website was unable to track me and It felt much more secure as a user. So, I would recommend everyone to give it a try.

Cons:

The thing you may not like as I feel is that it's not as good as a normal browsing experience. But it is normal as the browser is specially made for security purposes.

Efficient Web browser

5.0 last year

Comments: I have been using Brave for over 2 years now, and it is the best thing I found. It blocks annoying ads and redirections which helps improve better browsing experience and increases productivity.

Pros:

The best thing about Brave is it's built-in ad blocker. It functions like any other browser but it has a feature to earn crypto currencies through brave ads. It also has a tor private window which acts like a random vpn .

Cons:

There isn't any specific thing that I dislike about Brave. But I think adding more feature similar to Opera GX browser would be great.

A browser that pay you for watching ads

4.0 2 years ago

Comments: Overall browsing with brave is like a breeze. I would love to see their own app store that offers app focused on privacies.

Pros:

Brave has a built in adblocker right from the start. it also blocks trackers and everything automatically. Recently it launched VPN and video calling service. I always loved to earn BAT for browsing. I also loved the news section.

Cons:

Number one of my grudge is they still face trouble when showing Google Docs. The problem most probably started from Google. But that's a nuisance. Another thing, I can't customize specific news outlet which are paid and block me from reading anything . I don't want to saw news from these sources. Somehow I can't block those. There should be a filtering option that only offers free news.

I love that they got the ad-blocking right, and that the mission behind the browser is ultimately my privacy. It's also cool that they give out Brave rewards that I can use or give away to contributors that I like.

Cons:

a private and secure browser in all respects

4.0 2 years ago

Comments: I simply loved this software and the best browser I have ever used, it is very practical and easy to use, its ad blocker makes the experience excellent, its security is very good and the application makes your browsing fast and completely private. which makes everything even better.

Pros:

what I like the most is its blocking of ads, because when other browsers direct you to other pages or expose you to inappropriate and totally random ads, the software blocks any type of targeting or unwanted ads.

Cons:

its lack of practicality in its interface, this is the only thing that leaves something to be desired in the software since it is a somewhat complex interface to understand.

Brave - Minimize your privacy concerns

4.0 2 years ago

Pros:

I appreciate the fact that it offers cross-platform support like Windows, macOS, Linux, IOS, etc. Also, it offers a wide range of chrome extensions making it easy to to enhance the browser's functionality.

Cons:

Brave's reward system is based on Basic Attention Tokens(BAT) which is a cryptocurrency, this might be a deterrent for some of the users who are not familiar with the ecosystem.
